.

I love to cook, collect cookbooks, experiment with spices & create recipes,
watch Food TV, share meals with people, etc.   But, one can only cook so
much at home or be inundated with leftovers and/or a larger wardrobe.

Since a career in education or culinary arts wasn't an option  while raising
our boys, these things had to be put on a back burner. Now,  with just my
husband and me at home, I have found the outlet for my passion to cook
and to help other people.

My philosophy on keeping the home a sanctuary, safe  from the
frenzy of the work world
was key in my decision to become a
Personal Chef.
Our dinners took place around a table with our two boys
amid much talk and laughter most days of the week.  I KNOW how hard it is
to put a nutritious meal on the table after working all day.

My main goal is to help people with frantic schedules find time to
enjoy their loved ones or take care of their fitness needs and still
have healthy, great tasting, fast meals at home.  I want to be their
“time saver”.

I was raised on a farm, and that meant "cooking from scratch" and cooking
LOTS to energize all of us to do all the chores that had to be done.
Knowing how to cook was an asset later in life when I ran a small restaurant
on a resort for a season while going to college. Restaurant work put me
through college and I learned from all the chefs as I went along.

My
B.A. in Home Economics has brought the importance of balanced
nutrition to my meal planning
and my love of the arts has driven me to
create ways to take the "boring" out of everyday meals.
I hate boring!
"Gourmet" can be everyday!

Living in different parts of the country has given me a cosmopolitan
palate
and ability to cook a wide variety of foods. Years of working with the
public and as an educator has polished my
skills in working with people
of all kinds.  My love for teaching is expressed through the fun cooking
classes being offered.

My
access to thousands of recipes through my membership in the
Personal Chefs Network as well as current food magazines and my
extensive library will make
custom designing menus for special dietary
needs
an anticipated part of my service to you.

Now,  with years of experience, I
am doing what I love best...COOKING!... .....
and bringing enjoyment and more time to people who need and want my
services.

I am certified in food handling through the National Restaurant Association's
ServSafe program, licensed in the Asheville, NC area, and fully insured.

I am ready to design meals for YOU!
